Annapurna Charitable Trust was established in the year 2008-2009 and registered as a Non Government, Non-Political, Non-Profit making organization under the Trust Act 1882.
It was originated when a group of young & energetic individuals from the diverse field joined hands to address the problems of in-equality, injustice, marginalization & deprivation of masses in the coastal area. The major approach adopted to address these socio-economic concerns is based on application of appropriate Science and Technology and sustainable development models. It has no political ideology and believes in the spirit of voluntarism trough youth and economicall backward women movement. It realises to the countless people especially women folk, those who come under the purview of ‘Poor, ‘Helpless’ and ‘Downtrodden’The idea was finally transmitted into practice with the establishment of the trust.
